19thC Porcelain Romanesque Mother & Children Red Transferware Cup & Saucer
For your consideration today is this 19th Century English cup & saucer. This looks like early 19th century Ridgway, but has not markings. The pattern is of a mother with two children, one of them holding a doll. The cup measures 2 1/4″ tall and 3 1/2″ in diameter. It has an old hairline running 1/3 around the base (see pictures). There are no chips. The saucer/tea bowl measures 5 1/2″ in diameter. It has a faint hairline running from the top edge that measures 1″. It has no chips. Please see the pictures for more details.
