Description
For your consideration is this 19th century Quadruple Silver Plate John Gate Teapot with a Morning Glory design on the side. There is also a lyre finial. The handle and the spout both have ornate flower designs on them. The lid is on hinges. There are some dings, including on the top edge and on the base. There are some more minor bends in the main body. There is heavy tarnish that probably will not clean up. There is a mark on the base that reads John Gate Quadruple Plate. The teapot is 7 1/4 inches tall and 8 1/2 inches from handle to spout. The diameter is 4 3/4 inches. There is a dent in the base as well. Please view pictures for more details.
