For your consideration is this antique trinket box. The trinket box is painted on the bottom “Hand Made in Kashmir,” and this item comes from India. The item is also marked A-25/D-295, and it depicts a scene from the Duranni Empire in the 17th Century on the lid and around the edges. The lacquered wood box is black on the bottom and inside, and it measures 2″ tall by 4 1/4″ long by 3 1/2″ wide. The box has usage wear. There is a scratch that runs the length of the top side of the lid. The edges of the lacquered wood box have worn, but there are no chunks of wood missing. There is a coat of something that dims the color of the box, and parts of the coating has come off, but the scene is brighter in those spots. Please see the pictures for more details.
