For your consideration today is this early 19th Century Spode coffee can and a tea bowl. While unmarked, the handle of the coffee can is distinctly Spode. The tea bowl is marked “500” in red and doesn’t quite match the coffee can, but are strikingly similar. Both are from about circa 1810. The coffee can measures 2 1/2″ tall and 2 5/8″ in diameter. The gilding is in excellent condition. It has a faint 1/2″ hairline running up from the base near the handle. There are no chips. The tea bowl measures 5 1/2″ in diameter. The gilding is very good. It has a faint hairline running from the top edge that measures 1″. It has no chips. 3700KN
