Description

For your consideration is this antique Arts & Crafts look brass and copper tyg. The tyg is a drinking vessel reportedly invented by the English so that passing a drink in a circle is easier. The balance is better for each user and if there are three in the group each has their separate place to put their mouths.

This device is unmarked and may be English. It was made in the earlier part of the Arts & Crafts movement of about 1890-1900. The tyg has a brass body and handles with copper straps and rivets. It measures 6 1/2″ in max height and 6 5/8″ in base diameter. There are no breaks or dings and has great patina.
