For your consideration is this beautiful framed original pastel artwork.
This depicts a colonial couple walking through a snowy winter forest, the man is holding a musket over his shoulder and the woman is wrapped in a shawl.
This brings mental images of thanksgiving, warm homes and a delicious meal prepared for a gathering of loved ones.
On the back is old wire for hanging on a wall and a handwritten message which reads;
‘For my niece Lillian. To be passed on to Susan, my grand niece.
Aunt Esther Kirkoff.
This picture was done by a friend of grandma in the late 1800s or early 1900s’.
This measures about 18″ in width and 22″ tall.
This is nicely framed with gilded wood and a glass front. The glass is in excellent condition and the frame does have some small gilding losses.
