Large Junghans Wurttemberg B26 4-Hammer Chime Mantle Clock | ref 20685

Description

For your consideration is this Junghans B26 chiming mantel or shelf clock.

This is a Wurttemberg, Germany manufactured mechanical clock movement mounted in a beautiful wooden case adorned with moldings at the top and around the base.

The case measures an impressive 18 3/4″ in length and nearly 12″ in height.

The metal dial bears the Junghans hallmark and has Arabic numbers. The gothic hands are held in place with a pin. There are some scratches on the dial.

The rear door is marked with an old sticker from Von Gunten’s Jewelry Store. The back of the movement is marked with the Junghans star and ‘B.26 Wurttemberg’. The 4 hammers are actuated via a pin roll and chain lifter setup.

This is estimated to have been manufactured circa 1920-30.

This clock starts and stops. There are some scratches and finish wear to the case.
