Here is this c1870s Tho Russell & Son Liverpool “Makers to the Queen” pocket watch movement. This was made in England and before Russell & Son turned to buying Swiss or US movements and having them cased (http://mb.nawcc.org/showthread.php?57063-Thomas-Russell-pocket-watch-dating)
This movement measures 43mm in max diameter (not including the loop for where it attaches to a case or the button for allowing it to “swing out”). The serial number on the dial matches the movement serial number.Â
