Vintage Porcelain Mallard Duck Catching Worm Ashtray Metzler & Ortloff Germany

Description

For your consideration is this ash tray or trinket tray by Metzler Ortloff, Germany. It depicts a mallard duck snagging a worm in the water. It measures about 5 1/4″ long x 4 5/8″ wide x 1 1/8″ tall to the top of the duck. They used the mark on the back from 1923 – 1972. It has the numbers 7231 on the back also. There are no chips, cracks, or flea bite marks on it. There is a rattle noise when you shake it though. Please see the pictures for more details.
