Description
Here is this 10K yellow gold pin. The blue enamel across the bottom says “Practical Nurse” and the blue enamel diagonal stripe says “Training School”. On the gold shield are the words “Neenah Menasha”. The Neenah-Menasha Visiting Nurse Association in Wisconsin in conjunction with the Theda Clark Hospital started a school in 1953 to train students in home nursing. The back of this pin is engraved with perhaps one of the first students to graduate from this program: “Sarah Koch, August 23, 1953”. The back is also marked 10K and LOR. On the back is an eyelet that looks like a chain may have been attached to at one time. This would be a wonderful addition to someone’s medical collection.
