Vintage Original Oil Painting on Artist Board Parthenon Propylaea Acropolis Fram

Description

For your consideration, we have an original oil painting on canvas board, dated 1962.

There is some writing on the back of the canvas board: FEBRUARY 28, 1962, PALM BEACH FLORIDA, “ILLUSION” BEV BLACK.

It is a depiction of the Parthenon with, what could only be from that angle, the Proplylaea (which is the sacred entrance to the citadel) in the background.

Within the frame, this piece measures approximately 23 1/2″ wide and 17 1/2″ high. Overall, it measures 28 1/2″ wide by 22″ high.

The painted frame is in good/fair condition. Each of the frame corners have gaps where the wood should meet tight. There are a few small chips in the paint also.

Otherwise, neither the painting or the frame have any other flaws/blemishes noted.
