Vintage 1940s Starnold Quality Japan Mohair Stuffed Sitting Lion Cub 5" Wire Frame

Here is a very well-represented vintage Starnold stuffed toy lion cub, circa 1940s.

He may be vintage, but he doesn’t look it. He is extremely clean, and odor-free. His 100% mohair fur is outstanding and unmatted.The glass eyes are bright, whiskers are intact, and the pale pink stitched nose is just perfect! His wire framed body is firm, and he sits up naturally, measuring approximately 5″ high to the top of his head. He has absolutely no tears, repairs, or loose seams, whatsoever. There is a small, pea-size blueish spot under the right rear foot (see pictures for magnified detail).

There are very few Starnold stuffed toys from this era, and even fewer still that are this pristine. This sweet little guy is in very good condition. Scoop him up for your collection while you can!
