19th Century Hammered Copper Skimmer Rat Tail Impressed Handle Primitive Scoop
19th Century Hammered Copper Skimmer Rat Tail Impressed Handle Primitive Scoop
For your consideration is this 19th Century skimmer. The hammered copper skimmer was soldered by the maker to connect the handle and scoop head, but the item is unmarked by its maker. The skimmer has a rat tail tip on the handle with a metal ring used for hanging, and it has a simple impressed design running the length of the handle. The primitive item measures 20 1/2″ long with a round scoop head of 5 3/4″ in diameter, and the item is in great condition for its age. The item has some minor wear, but it has a nice natural patina. Please see the pictures for more detail on this excellent piece. 9711KN |
