Description
For your consideration is this Voight & Sitzendorf porcelain figurine. This figurine is marked with the S-slash under the crown mark. The “pearls” on the crown appear to be hollow. In addition, it has a circular “Germany” mark indicative of the early 1900s, when small German porcelain figurines and souvenir items were marked with similar marks for the US market. This figurine depicts the Artful Dodger of Charles Dickens’ Oliver Twist. The 3 5/8″ high figurine is handpainted and the “Artful Dodger” is written in gold script on the edge of the base. His top hat has a chip that was original or perhaps repainted at some other time (you are getting this as I found it).
