There is a signature on the bottom of the image in the middle that reads J.M. Dennis. The American born James M. Dennis was a famous painter in late 19th century and early 20th century. This image was painted in 1916, and Dennis died in 1918. The image is in good condition, but it does have some small paint loss in a few spots.
