1944 Bulova 17J Manual Men’s Cal. 8AE Douglas 10K Yellow GF Case Runs For Repair

For your consideration is this manual winding vintage men’s wristwatch movement that is running for repair. The movement starts and stops in certain positions, but it keeps time when lying flat. The Swiss movement was made by Bulova in 1944, and it is the caliber 8 AE “Douglas” model featuring an excellent copper-tone rectangle dial and subdial for the second hand with gold-tone tapered hands pointing to dot markings and a bar at the 12 position. The 17 jewel movement comes cased in a 10K yellow gold filled Bulova case with a snap on backing. The case measures 24mm tall (without lugs) by 21mm wide with half-hidden lugs that have an inside measurement of 15mm. The dome crystal has some wear and scratches, but the dial and case are in great condition with little wear.. Please see pictures for more detail, and feel free to ask any questions!
