Description
For your consideration is this beautiful late 19th century china set from the famed Count Thun Factory in Klosterle, Bohemia, Austria. Our set carries the green P.H. Leonard (importers) double crown & shield Vienna Austria mark, used from 1890-1898. Embedded into these pieces are also the letters “TK” (The Count Thun Factory mark) and a cross. These pieces feature a light pink rose and light purple primrose with light green foliage on a white background. The edges of the plates are gently scalloped with a light ribbing. There are 53 pieces altogether, 42 of which have no chips, cracks or crazing.
- (1) Platter. 12”x 8 ½”. Very nice condition
- (1) Creamer. 6” x 4 ¼” Also has gilt on the handle.
- (5) Dessert/Sauce/Fruit Bowls. 5”. Nice condition.
- (6) Tea cups 3 ¼” diameter. Flower motif is also inside the cup. The handles also have gilding. 2 cups have cracks. 1 has a small chip off the rim.
- (11) Saucers. 5 ¼” diameter. Nice condition.
- (6) Bowls. 7 ½” diameter. One bowl has a defect from firing.
- (23) Bread Plates. “7 ¼” diameter. 4 have cracks (two cracks have not browned yet). 3 have chips/flea bites.
