For your consideration is this interesting antique wooden-bodied grooving plane.

This measures about 9 1/2″ in length. The iron has a blade width of about 1 1/8″.

The body is marked ‘E. Preston 77 Lichfields Birmm’.

There are some worm holes in places, which adds great character.

This plane is in good condition with typical wear such as finish imperfections and some dings/oxidation in the iron cutting blade.
