Description
For your consideration is this antique D.A. Mottu Geneve pocket watch.
This features 10 jewels and a pin set movement. The hour and minute hands are nicely blued and the seconds hand is gold-toned. The hours are in Arabic script and the dial is marked ‘Valdoris’. The seconds hand and dial are both loose and the dial has several hairlines and a large chip noted. The crystal is good.
The case has lots of wear noted but is functionally sound. The back plate is marked ‘D.A. Mottu Geneve Recontoire Cylindre 10 Rubis’. The movement is with an A and ‘Depose”.
This is running and keeps time to about +400 seconds per day.
The pin engagement for time setting seems loose but does work.
