Description
Here we have an interesting “Gone With the Wind” oil lamp/banquet/hurricane lamp base. It has a lovely rosemaling floral design with a tan/golden painted top and bottom This could be from the Victorian era, but I cannot verify this.
There are no chips, cracks, or repairs noted on the glass body, just the usual rough filler edges on both ends. It looks to be hand painted, and there are no apparent rubs anywhere on the paint. The flowers look crisp, vibrant, and painted with skill.
It measures approximately 6 ” tall, and 23″ in circumference at its widest. The mouth at the wide end, measures 4″ from outside to outside the fitter. The other end measures 3″, measured from outside to outside also.
Please note: This item has the usage marks ordinarily seen on older pieces, which may include scuffs, dust and/or dirt, scratches, small defects, and rubs. See pictures for magnified detail to assess the condition.
