Description
We offer for your consideration this beautiful 4-Panel hand-painted silk Japanese byobu screen. The left panel is signed Tomomichi with red block and the piece’s title “Spring in the Mountain Village”. It features a mountain in the background, a small village, a villager walking along a small stream, and cherry blossom trees in bloom with a cascading waterfall. It is bordered with 2 goldish color fabrics and framed in wood. The back is also fabric covered. You can see a small dent on the left panel and fabric tear under it. Along the wood panel seams, you can see where each silk piece is affixed to the wood. Each panel measures 18″ x 47 1/4″, for a total length of 72″ when fully opened.
