Description
For your consideration is this Fred Johnson Altrincham size 18s pocket watch movement which carries the very prestigious distinction of having been awarded a Kew A certificate. These certificates show that a chronometer was certified for accuracy by the Kew Royal Observatory after a rigorous 45 day testing period.
The dial is a simple single sunk affair with Roman numerals and gold hour and minute hands. There are some chips and cracks noted.
The movement is marked ‘Kew A Certificate No. 3675 Fred Johnson Altrincham’.
