For your consideration is this well-taken care of edition of “Lucile And Her Friends: A Story For Girls” Book by Hattie Tyng Griswold. Illustrations are by True Williams. Published by W B Conkey Company, 1987. This neat old book follows Lucile and her friends from school days to courtship. The deep red hardboard cover is embossed with 4 young ladies and the gilt title and flower is in very good condition. There is light wear on edges and bottom of spine. Binding is firm. Pages have darkened with age. No foxing noted. Slight staining on upper corner of last pages. Book is signed by previous owner in front and back in pencil. 9 3/4″ x 7 1/2″ and 1 3/4″ thick. 288 pages. Please see photos for more details.
