Description
For your consideration is a lot of 2 tennis rackets. Both are used with some wear but in sturdy condition.
The first is a Spalding Mid Century Slazenger open throat wood composite Tennis Racket which appears to be barely used as it has very little wear marks. The strings are very tight and secure and the original handle wrap is tight with no loose ends.
Markings include “L 4 1/2, fiber reinforced, No. 1790, Made in Japan to Slazengers specifications.” The Frame protector is solid wood and sturdy.
The second is a 1960’s Spalding Pancho Gonzales Signature Model wood composite racket with leather handle wrap. There is some wear on the beam and there was a cover on it that left residue when removed. The handle wrap is solid but worn. All strings are tight.
Markings include “Spalding “Pancho” Gonzales, Fibre Welded Throat, Signature Model, Manufactured by A.G. Spalding & Bros. of Belgium.
