Description
For your consideration is this group of six vintage wooden spools (also called pirns) from the textile mills of long ago. Yarn or string would be wound around them, then placed in a shuttle to weave cloth. All have holes that go all the way through them (although some have dirt, we’ll that to you to clean). Two of them have metal bottoms. The smallest one is also capped with metal. The smallest measures 7″ long. The others are 8 3/4″ in length. These are in nice condition overall. Please see photos for more detail.
