For your consideration is this serene chalk/pastel drawing in tones of blue, green, and grey, on artist tagboard. The scene which we are facing, is of a trail leading through a split rail fence into an open meadow occupied only by an abandon animal shed, was created by an unknown artist possibly around the 1920s-30s.
Unframed, it measures 11 1/2″ wide by 13 1/2″. In the frame, the measurement is 13 1/2″ wide by 15 3/4″ long. The frame is painted a matte silver and looks to be original. There is some wear at the corners where a tiny bit of the molding has come off and there is a small 1/4″ crack at the inner top of the frame. The back appears to be original, but we have added a new picture wire, so it is ready to hang in that perfect spot.
Please see pictures for magnified detail of the points mentioned. Thanks for looking.
