Here is this vintage unframed oil painting signed Roldophe. We believe this painting to be Haitian from around the 1950s to 1960s. The painting shows a bright mountain village with women carrying baskets on their heads in between small houses. This measures 16″ wide and 24″ tall. The painting has one small tear in the canvas above the right tree. There is some darkening/discoloration above both trees. This is actually painted on a stretched feed or flour sack as the faded advertisement shows faintly on the back. There are no losses to the oil.
