Description
For your consideration is this 25 piece Embassy Ware Bone China Set. It is has a lovely pattern of blue dots and gold leaves on a white background. They have a ripple edge that is also gold. The backs are marked “Embassy Ware / Fondeville England” along with the Samuel Radford “SR” Crown “Bone China” mark. Also marked is the pattern number of “8041 – 2”. This particular SR mark began being used in 1928 and Embassy Ware was only manufactured until 1938. This dates this set between 1928-1938. Several pieces have rough edges.
- (1) 4 X 5 teapot with lid; both lid and pot have crazing
- (1) 3″x3”sugar bowl with lid; lid has crazing, bowl has some crazing and a chip on the inner rim.
- (6) 8” plates; 3 have crazing and fleabites.
- (8) 2” teacups; 1 has crazing, and 1 has a fairly big crack that’s been repaired.
- (9) 5-1/2” saucers; 5 have fleabites
