2 Unique Mayan Cenote Yucatan Dig Pre-Columbian Old Stone Ancient Artifacts L4Z

For your consideration are these wonderful artifacts from the Yucatan Peninsula of Mexico. The Mayans migrated to the area called Yucatan around 2500 B.C. and made many wonders from stone and clay that are being found to this day. The area was officially named Yucatan in 1517 by Cordova of Spain due to not being able to understand what the Mayans were telling him. In 1562 the Spaniards destroyed most of the Mayan’s books and statues in hopes of ruining their culture and colonizing them so the pieces found today are very valued, and much more so if in a whole piece.

These two pieces we have for you were found in a dig and are long pieces. One is 2 7/8″ long and could possibly be a bead since there are holes on either side. The other piece is adorned with with a carved rope around it. It looks like it was one part of a tree figure. It measures 1 1/8″ long. These are in “as is” condition from the dig and they come with a display box. These are amazing pieces of history that you can own yourself. Please see our pictures for more detail. Thank you!
