For your consideration is original watercolor painting that has been signed (unreadable) and dated 1822. The painting is of a wooded shoreline around a calm lake. In the distance on a hill is a house and a small sailboat with two fisherman docking at shore. The colors are aged and muted. The piece is reframed in a vintage wooden frame stained in a camel tan color and it bears the sticker of the framing studio “Coach House Studio, Toronto, MI”. The piece with frame measures about 14 ½” by 12” and inside the frame it measures about 9 ½” by 12”. The watercolor paper has an aged yellowing color with a 1″ hairline tear on the bottom of the painting.
