For your consideration is this exquisitely adorned antique French tea set.
This is made of fine porcelain, perhaps from the Limoges region.
This beautiful set includes a total of 10 pieces, including a teapot with lid, sugar bowl with lid, creamer, pair of teacups and saucers, and a large 21″ serving tray.
The pieces are elaborately decorated with gold-colored gilding, colors of burgundy and mint, and rich, glossy glazing.
The only markings found on these are a single number on the bottom of some of the pieces.
During research I was unable to find any other set exactly like this one, making me believe this is an extraordinarily rare set. This would be an amazing gift for someone who enjoys history, the finer things in life, or who has everything.
There is some crazing noted on the creamer and the teapot spout has been painted at some point, some of which is chipping. This was probably done as a repair long ago.
Please see the photos for more detail on this lovely, hard to find set.
