For your consideration is this outstanding and exceptionally rare General Motors Imhof Swiss mechanical 8 days calendar clock.

The dial bears raised metal ‘General Motors 1955’ markings. This clock may have sat on the desk of a General Motors Swiss Bienne branch executive, or may have been awarded to an employee.

This features a beautiful heavy brass body with thick beveled glass crystal.

This is a calendar clock with the days of the week listed in french. There are convenient levers at the back for setting the days.

The back is marked with ‘Brevet’ (patent) ‘ Imhof Switzerland’ and the movement serial number along with ‘Swiss Lever Escapement C.244’ and the number 8 in a triangle.

This measures about 4.5″ x 4.5″ x 2″.

This runs but has not been tested for accuracy.

There are some scratches on the dial and tarnish on the brass.
