Pair Chinese Glass Reverse Painting Snuff Bottles Nature Scenes Mountains Water

For your consideration is this set of 2 Chinese Inside Reverse Painting Glass Snuff Bottles. The larger bottle features a rock from which a Chrysanthemum, pink daisy, and other flowers grow. A butterfly floats among them. The opposite side shows a tiny hut overlooking a lake with a mountian, tall trees and huge rocks in the back and foregrounds.  The smaller of the two bottles has a lake scene in light blues and greens. The other side has a mountain, lake and possibly a cherry tree in blossom. The paintings on both bottles are reminiscent of water color paintings.

The big bottle measures 2 7/8″ tall (counting the stopper) x 2 1/2″ wide x 1″ deep.  The flat foot of this larger bottle has some chipping on the ridges and the mouth is in good used condition. The stopper for this is a nice green marblized glass that complements the bottle well. The small bottle measures 2 1/2″ tall (counting the stopper) x 1 7/8″ wide x 1″ deep. The flat foot on this smaller bottle has very tiny pitting and the mouth is in very good used condition. The stopper is the same beautiful green marblized color as the one for the larger bottle. Unfortunately, the cork has broken off inside the mouth of the bottle. The spoon is still inside attached to the cork. With some work, you would be able to work it out and reattach to the stopper cap. This beautiful set would be a great addition to your collection!
