Description
We offer this vintage chatelaine pin with a double chain. The flowers appear to be brass with pretty pink coral-colored stones/cabochons. The center stones have white and red veining. Traditionally chatelaines were worn by the woman of the house or castle and held keys and things. They later became decorative pieces, still to signify position. They can hold sweaters closed, decorate a scarf, or just look pretty on your jacket. The large flower measures 1 3/4″ in diameter, while the smaller flower is 1 1/4″ in diameter. The short-chain is 5 3/4″ connecting the edges of the two flowers. Both clasps close securely. There are no marks that I can find. Please see photos for more detail.
