Here we have a rather unique, original cartoon illustration of a mighty hunter scared out of his hat by a mountain goat. It was created using pen/ink and watercolor, and is signed K. JOHN.

This piece is not dated on the front, and research shows no information on the artist. The artist could be of German or Austrian lineage and the artwork may have been created around the 1920s-40s , due to the style of cartoon and dress of the hunter.

This picture looks to be in its original frame, and measures 15″ x 17″ overall. The frame is a simple style, painted in yellow with a green stripe. The paint is chipped in spots, but the frame is very sturdy and secure. The colors in the painting are still vivid and there looks to be no water stains or blemishes, foxing, folds, or wrinkles in the paper.
