Description

Here we have a lot of four wood carved vintage items from Switzerland and Germany.

Two of the pieces are inkwells made to look like chalets. The first one, looks to be from the 1940s. It is glued to a wooden platform which is carved out as a place to rest the pen when not in use. The roof flips up to expose the glass ink reservoir. It measures approximately 7″ at its widest, 5″ deep, and 3″ high. There is one missing protrusion on the roof  and some exposed glue at the base of the house. The other inkwell looks to be slightly newer, possibly the 1950s. It is made the same way, in that the roof flips up to reveal the glass ink receptacle. It has no pen rest, as it stands alone. It measures approximately 3″ wide, 2 1/4″ deep and 2 1/2″ high. There is some residual ink in the container, some ink stains on the wood, and a very light warpage of the rooftop.

The other two items are a brass-top, half moon ink blotter and a carved bowl with an open-fretwork design, both from the early 1900s. The blotter measures approximately 3 1/2″ long, by 2″ wide, by 2 1/4″ high. The bowl is 5″ in diameter and 1 1/2″ high. Both are in respectable shape with no flaws or repairs to note.

These items are vintage used, so they have the usual usage marks of an older piece. Otherwise, there is no overt damage or repairs noted.

Please look at the photos for more detail.

Thanks for looking.
